Tasmanian Kaleidoscope Company

Ben Kurczok

Originally from Armidale NSW, Ben moved to Tasmania in 1960, and settled on the Tasman Peninsular in the state’s South East.  It was during his High School years that he became attracted to working with Tasmania’s beautiful timbers.

Upon graduating in 1997, the Tasmanian Kaleidoscope Factory, then under the management of Strato Anagnostis offered Ben a traineeship in Small Business Management.  Following this, in 2000, Ben completed a Diploma in Art, Craft and Design at TAFE Tasmania.  These opportunities enabled Ben to develop his skills and by 2002 he was ready to take over the Kaleidoscope Factory from Strato who was moving interstate and on to other ventures.

Ben, now operating as the Tasmanian Kaleidoscope Company, has added to the range of items available and is looking forward to further developments of this fine craft.
