Saddler’s Court Gallery

offers the work of more than 100 Tasmanian artists and crafts people. We choose each piece personally, not in terms of what is fashionable or what sells best, but according to its ability to reflect something of Tasmania.

Panogana Pottery

Trained at the Harrow School of Art in London, Bill Thomas established the Panogana Pottery in Tasmania’s South in 1978, and has created and marketed a range of domestic ware which has provided many Tasmanians and visitors with gifts that are both useful and decorative. The distinctive midnight blue glaze with its trails of paler blue, white and salmon red has a broad appeal, and the mugs, plates, bowls and casseroles are robust and durable for everyday use.
