Maxine Stigant

Tasmanian born, Maxine has always lived on this beautiful island. The majority of her jewerelly is based
on the art of crochet, a skill she was taught as a child by her grandmother.
Five years ago, she discovered that it is possible to crochet with beads and she has been combining
beads and crochet in a variety of textures ever since.
Maxine uses fine silk or synthetic yarns, high quality glass beads, semi-precious stones and pearls for
her jewellery pieces. She loves to combine all of these in some pieces to create jewellery of a chaotic,
eclectic nature reflective a life loved on a wild and geographically varied island.
