David Hopkins

David Hopkins is a Tasmanian who has used his talents and experience in commercial art to establish "Taswegia", a business which markets, nationally and within the state, high quality Tasmanian gift ware, cards and stationery. He has a wealth of experience in graphic art, from the days of litho transfer stones, zinc plates and the very first Cadbury "glass and a half" image, for which he was responsible. He held the position of senior designer at "The Mercury" for some years, and has many achievements as writer and illustrator, as well as over 40 exhibitions to his credit. He is first and foremost a Tasmanian, and shows his affection for this State in his water colour paintings of its best loved villages, towns and visual attractions.
